The Big Move

   The Big Move

When my son was about 6 weeks old we left my grandmothers house and set out on the road in a 2001 S10 pickup. We set him up in his car seat and loaded up the bed with all of our stuff. I sat in the back I was not in a seat but I had to be back there with the baby I did not want to leave his sight. We stopped for feedings and changes the trip was long. We had no money at this point at least not enough for hotels we just stopped for rest. My son loved the trip and slept for most of it. I was sad to not be able to stay with my dad while we got on our feet again. However, I new that this move would give us the opportunity to start over with out anyone to hang over us judging our every move. When we reached the line for Florida It was bright and my husband was shocked at how much brighter the sun seemed to him. At this point my son became upset and cried the rest of the way. I suppose he was sore from the trip or tired and ready to get out. When we go there we had a limited amount of time to unpack because our neighbors do not really like my family (that is a whole other story) so we unpacked and got ready to start our new lives in our new place with my mom in Florida. getting adjusted to the new place was hard. My husband had a hard time finding a job and no one in the house had an income. We had no where else to go because no one else would let all of us stay with them. My husband did many things on his venture to obtain and maintain a job. He worked at AMC but was only hired as a temporary so when he lost that job he worked for a company cleaning pools he lost this job because he was not christian enough which we could not do anything about because he was working under the table for the first two months as a trial hire. He obtained many jobs in between and after these but could not find one that would support our family until labor ready called him with a job working for Valensa a nutraceutical plant where he did shipping and receiving he was hired through the temp agency but at the time we had no other options. He made $10 an hour and we needed every bit of it so we could support ourselves and the my family. My mom is disabled so she had no way to get a job. We went through hard times where we lost our electricity and had to work through it we maintained our gas and water the entire time but the electricity was on and off at least twice and about a week at max but it was still hard. We made sure even in our conditions our son was well taken care of and was never affected by our trials. This is obvious in the videos we have on our youtube channel today.
